This beautiful vintage vase in one of Fenton’s classic melon design. A delicately double crimped edge compliments the dramatically ribbed body for a design that stands beautifully. A soft blue exterior layer of glass is applied over a milky opaline interior.
Original foil sticker- “HANDMADE IN AMERICA BY Fenton” remained. This label was used between 1939 to 1947-48.
Measurement: 21.5 cm H x 7.5cm W base.

Fenton Art Glass Company was founded in 1905 in Ohio as the decorator and finisher of glassware made by other glass makers in the area. Two years later the Fenton brothers opened a factory in West Virginia to produce their own art glass. They became the largest manufacturer of handmade colored glass in the United States and among the foremost glass manufacturers in the world. The company is known for its beautiful colors and patterns.
The company motto was, “Turning Glass into Fine Art”.
